Manang community, Satun Province from Historical space and Heritage memories

Abstract

This article aimed to explain about the history of Manang district, Satun province by using historical method as a guideline. The main information was provided by elders interviewee who lives in the community and such method is called memory history.

        Manang community was formed by the contribution of immigrants around the country and the existence was 60 years ago. The community was settle by two types of immigrants; the first group immigrated to Southern Developing Self-Help Land Settlement these groups of people lives in Nikom Patana sub-district. The second category was self-settlement group which lives in Palm Pattana. For the historical community reminiscent there were 4 eras which consisted of Pioneer era (2500s), Communist era (2510-2520), The economic crops restoration era (2530-2540) and Manang in Tourism flows era (2540s)
