Affecting factors enforcement strengthening of Siamese Buddhist monks of Thai cultural identity in Kelantan State of Malaysia

Abstract

This research purpose for study the affecting factors the reinforcement strengthening of Malaysia Siamese Buddhist monks of Thai cultural identity in Kelantan State of Malaysia. Use qualitative research methods. Collect data from relevant documents, related researches and fieldwork, depth interview, participant and non-participant observation. The primary data is Malaysia Siamese Buddhist monks in the area of Kelantan State of Malaysia amount 25 persons and 10 lays Buddhists. The data obtained from interviews was checked in the data triangle. Includes time, place and person. The study indicated that affecting factors the reinforcement strengthening of Siamese Buddhist monks of Thai cultural identity in Kelantan State of Malaysia. Include leadership of monks, ability to manage Thai cultural activities, use modern communication technology, Siamese culture fund, push Siamese community leaders to promote Thai culture, relationship between Siamese people in the community and temple, area is suitable for cultural activities, budget support for cultural implementation, and support Thai cultural activities from the Malaysia government.
