Abstract

                The purposes of this research were to determine 1) the school administration by sufficiency economic philosophy in secondary school under secondary Educational Service Area Office 8, 2) the teacher quality of work life in secondary school under secondary Educational Service Area Office 8 and 3) the relationship between school administration by sufficiency economic sufficiency philosophy and teacher quality of work life in secondary school under secondary Educational Service Area Office 8. The samples of this research were 8 secondary schools under secondary Educational Service Area Office 8. The respondents were a school director or an acting school director a vice director, and teachers, with a total of 144 respondents. The research instrument was an opinionnaire about the school administration by sufficiency economic philosophy of Ministry of Education and the quality of work life based on Walton's concept. The statistics used were frequency, percentage, standard deviation and Pearson’s product moment correlation coefficient.

                The findings revealed as follows;

                1. The school administration by sufficiency economic philosophy in secondary school under secondary Educational Service Area Office 8 as a whole was rated at a highest level.  When considered in each aspect, they were rated at highest level and ordered from the highest to lowest arithmetic mean as follows: school administration, curriculum and instruction, personal development, student activity development, and outcome/goal achievement.

                2. The teacher quality of work life in secondary school under secondary Educational Service Area Office 8, as a whole was rated at a highest level. When considered in each aspect,  they were rated at a highest level and ordered from the highest to lowest arithmetic mean as follows: the total life space, social relevance, growth and security, constitutionalism, safe and healthy environment, social integration, development of human capacities, and adequate and fair compensation.

               3. There was a moderate relationship between school administration by sufficiency economic philosophy and teacher quality of work life in secondary school under secondary Educational Service Area Office 8 at .01 significant level.
