Abstract

                The purposes of this research were to determine; 1) the code of ethics under the secondary educational service area office 8 2) the happiness in workplace of school under the secondary educational service area office 8 and 3) the relationship between code of ethics and happiness in workplace of school under the secondary educational service area office 8. The sample consisted of 55 schools in the secondary educational service area office 8. The respondents in each school were, a school director or a school deputy director, a group leader or a head of department and a teacher, totally 144 respondents. The research instrument was a questionnaire regarding code of ethics based on regulations of the Teachers Council. According to the rules of teachers ‘council with behavioral patterns for the ethics of profession 2013 and happiness in workplace of school based on The Happy 8 of Thai Heath Promotion Foundation. The statistics used to analyze the data were frequency, percentage, arithmetic mean, standard deviation and Pearson’s product moment correlation coefficient.

               The finding revealed as follows;

               1) The code of ethics of under the secondary educational service area office 8, as a whole and individual were found at the highest level; ranking from the highest mean to the lowest mean as follow: the ethics for client, the ethics for profession, the ethics for workmate, the ethics for social and the ethics for self.

               2) The happiness in workplace of school under the secondary educational service area office 8, as a whole was at the highest level, as an individual were at the highest and high level. Ranking from the highest mean to the lowest mean as follow: Happy Family, Happy Heart, Happy Soul, Happy Society, Happy Relax, Happy Money, Happy Brain and Happy Body.

               3) The relationship between code of ethics and happiness in workplace of school under the secondary educational service area office was at .01 level of significance.
