The purposes of this research were to identify: 1) the strategic management under Ayutthaya Primary Educational Service Area Office 1, 2) the personnel management of school, 3) the relationship between the strategic management and personnel management of school. The samples were 123 schools under Ayutthaya Primary Educational Service Area Office 1. The respondents in each school were a school administrator or an acting school administrator, and head of personnel teacher, in the total of 246 persons. The instrument employed for data collection was a questionnaire about the strategic management based on Wheelen and Others, concept and the personnel management based on Office of the Basic Education Commission. The statistics used for data analysis were frequency, percentage, arithmetic mean, standard deviation and Pearson's Product Moment Correlation Coefficient.
The research findings were as follows:
- The strategic management under Ayutthaya Primary Educational Service Area Office 1, as a whole and an individual, were at a high level. The arithmetic mean ranking from maximum to minimum were 1) Strategy Implementation, 2) Environmental Scanning, 3) Strategy Formulation and 4) Evaluation and Control.
- The personnel management of school under Ayutthaya Primary Educational Service Area Office 1 as a whole and an individual, were at a high level. The arithmetic mean ranking from maximum to minimum were as follows; 1) Human Resource planning, 2) Personnel Development, 3) Personnel Recruitment, 4) Discipline and Punishment and 5) Retirement
- There were significant relationship between the strategic management and personnel management of school under Ayutthaya Primary Educational Service Area Office 1 at .01 level.
