THE DEVELOPMENT OF STRATEGIC LEADERSHIP BASED ON BUDDHIST PRINCIPLES FOR SCHOOL ADMINISTRATORS UNDER THE CHACHOENGSAO SECONDARY EDUCATIONAL SERVICE AREA OFFICE

Abstract
This research article aimes to 1) Study the strategic leadership for school administrators under the Chachoengsao Secondary Educational Service Area Office, 2) Develop process for developing strategic leadership process based on Buddhist principles for school administrators under the Chachoengsao Secondary Educational Service Area Office, and 3) Evaluate the process of developing strategic leadership process based on Buddhist principles for school administrators under the Chachoengsao Secondary Educational Service Area Office. This study employed a multi-phase mixed-methods research design, divided into three phases. Phase 1involved studying the current conditions by collecting data through questionnaires from a sample of 297 participants. Phase 2 involved developing the strategic leadership developing process by conducting in-depth interviews with 9 key informants and a focus group with 9 experts. Phase 3 involved evaluating the quality of the strategic leadership development process by 9 experts. The data were analyzed using frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, and content analysis.
The research findings revealed that: 1) The overall strategic leadership of school administrators was practiced at a high level. 2) The process of developing strategic leadership based on Buddhist principles for school administrators constituted a Buddhist innovation in educational administration, namely the Strategic Awakened Leadership Process. This process integrates strategic agility with the Seven Factors of Enlightenment (Bojjhanga 7) and operates through four dimensions: cognitive wisdom, driving action, stability monitoring, and evaluation. It is translated into practice through five strategic activities; and (3) The quality assessment of the innovation by experts indicated the highest levels of accuracy, appropriateness, feasibility, and usefulness. These findings demonstrate that the Buddhist innovation possesses empirical completeness and can be effectively applied to enhance the administrative and managerial behaviors of school administrators.
