PRIORITY NEEDS FOR DEVELOPING REVERSE MENTORING OF SATREE WAT MAHAPRUTTARAM GIRLS’ SCHOOL TEACHERS

Abstract
This research article aimed to: 1) investigate the current and desirable conditions of reverse mentoring development among teachers at Satree Wat Mahapruttaram Girls’ School, and 2) examine the priority needs for reverse mentoring development among teachers at Satree Wat Mahapruttaram Girls’ School. This study employed a survey research design. The research population consisted of administrators and teachers at Satree Wat Mahapruttaram Girls’ School, under the Secondary Educational Service Area Office Bangkok 2, including 5 administrators and 100 teachers selected through purposive sampling. The research instrument was a five-point Likert scale questionnaire with a reliability coefficient of .994. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, including frequency, percentage, mean, and standard deviation, and the Modified Priority Needs Index.
The research findings revealed as follows: 1) The overall current condition of reverse mentoring development among teachers was at a moderate level, whereas the overall desirable condition was at the highest level. 2) The overall priority needs for reverse mentoring development indicated that mentoring and knowledge transfer had the highest priority need. This was followed by recognition and credibility, possessing knowledge and expertise in relevant fields, communication and reflection, and interaction with others.
