Abstract
This research article aimed to: 1) to study the operational conditions of the internal quality assurance system in educational institutions 2) to examine the guidelines for developing the internal quality assurance system in educational institutions based on Ariyasacca IV and 3) to present and evaluate the guidelines for developing the internal quality assurance system in educational institutions based on Ariyasacca IV. This study employed a qualitative research methodology. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with 15 stakeholders, in-depth interviews with 5 experts, and a focus group discussion with 7 qualified experts. The data were analyzed using inductive analysis and focus group evaluation.
The research findings revealed that: 1) Regarding the implementation of the internal quality assurance system in educational institutions, some limitations were identified that affect the efficiency of operations. These include a lack of knowledge and understanding among some teachers and staff about educational standards, insufficient participation from parents and the community, and unstandardized data and information management. As a result, certain aspects of the implementation are discontinuous and have not yet achieved the highest effectiveness in improving the quality of education. 2) The guidelines for developing the internal quality assurance system in educational institutions based on Ariyasacca IV indicated that the operational process consists of six steps: (1) determining the educational standards of the institution, (2) preparing the educational development plan of the institution, (3) implementing the educational development plan, (4) evaluating and examining the internal educational quality, (5) monitoring the implementation to improve the institution in accordance with educational standards, and (6) preparing the self-assessment report. These steps were integrated with Ariyasacca IV as follows: (1) Dukkha (problems), (2) Samudaya (causes of the problems), (3) Nirodha (setting goals for problem resolution), and (4) Magga (determining the methods for solving the problems), which enhanced the systematic and effective implementation of the process. 3) The results of the presentation and evaluation of the guidelines for developing an internal educational quality assurance system based on the Ariyasacca IV found that they were appropriate, feasible, and beneficial for development within the educational institution.
