Effects of the Implementation of Gagne’s Hierarchy of Learning on Skills of Creating Cartoon Animation and Creativity of Matthayom 2 Students in Computer Subject

Abstract

This Quasi experimental research aimed to study the effects of Gagne’s hierarchy of learning on skills of creating cartoon animation and creativity of Matthayom 2 students. A sample group consisted of students studying in Matthayom 2 in the 1st semester, the academic year 2017 at Wat Yai Chaimongkol (Pawana Rangsi) School, Phranakhon Si Ayutthaya. Two classrooms were drawn with ๓๐ students in each class. The sample group was acquired by the Simple Random Sampling. From the two groups, the students in the experimental group were required to learn based on Gagne’s hierarchy of learning. Another group was the control group. The students in this group were required to study with normal learning approach. The experimental period of ๒๐ hours. Research instruments were: 1) Gagne’s hierarchy of learning lesson plans and normal lessons and 2) the cartoon animation creation skills evaluation form and 3) the creativity evaluation form. Statistics employed to analyze the data were T-test and Multivariate Analysis of Variance.
