Education and Conflict Solutions in Buddhist Perspective

Abstract

The purpose of this article was to introduce the concept of education and conflict solution in the perspective of Buddhism. Educational institutions were managed by administrators and teachers under the standard of the Ministry of Education policy. But conflicts and quarrels among students happened gradually and increasingly. The cause of conflicts came from many factors. According to Buddhism, problems originated from causes and to solve the problems was to solve the problem causes. The most important cause of problems was desire. The Buddhist principles to solve problems are The Four Noble truths, The Threefold Training, and Brahmavihara Dhamma. All the conflicts can be reduced at first and eradicated by these three sets of Dhamma in the long run.
