The purposes of this research were to develop a Computer Assisted Instruction (CAI) on Data and Data Source with expected criteria of 80/80 for efficiency and more than .50 for effectiveness index (E.I.) and to compare learning achievement before and after learning through the Computer Assisted Instruction. The target group in this study was divided into two groups: 1) a group 1th used in determining the efficiency of the research which consisted of 22 students from Prathomsuksa 5/1 of Anubalporncharoen School and 2) a group 2th used in confirming the efficiency of the Computer Assisted Instruction which consisted of 9 students from Prathomsuksa 5 of Banmaisamakee School. The research instruments were comprised of: 1) Computer Assisted Instruction on Data and Data Source, 2) four lesson plans, 3) two sets of learning achievement test, and 4) teacher manual on Computer Assisted Instruction. Research and Development method was used in conducting this dissertation. In this method, particularly suggested by a website called wikipedia.org, there were four procedures: 1) Synthesize and Theorize, 2) Explore, Hypothesize and Clarify, 3) Design, Develop and Test, and 4) Implement, Study Efficacy and Improve. Statistics used for the data analysis were percentage, mean, and standard deviation. The findings show that the Computer Assisted Instruction has efficiency of 82.12/81.00 and effectiveness index of 0.6607, which successfully met the set criteria, and the target group gained posttest learning achievement met higher than pretest.
