Effect of Active Learning Approach on Achievement in Thai Language Course and Problem Solving for Thai students.

The purposes of this research were to 1) compare the achievement of Thai language students by active learning approach, and 2) compare the problem-solving abilities of Thai language students by active learning approach. The sample used in the research was first-year Thai language students, Faculty of Education, Dhonburi Rajabhat University enrolled in the course. Listening Viewing and speaking for Thai language teachers (1023101) semester 1 of the 2022 academic year consists of 1 classroom of 20 students by cluster random sampling. The tools used in the research include five learning management plans, a multiple-choice achievement test. Of the 25 items, the difficulty value (p) is between 0.36-0.73 and the discrimination value (r) is between 0.26-0.79. The reliability of the test is 0.86. For subjective exams, number 5. The difficulty value (p) is between 0.40-0.65 and the discrimination value (r) is between 0.32-0.80. And the reliability of the test is 0.77. and quizzes, measuring the ability to solve problems in multiple-choice. Of the 20, the difficulty value (p) is between 0.25-0.56 and the discrimination value (r) is between 0.26-0.69. The results showed that 1) the student' achievement by active learning approach, posttest was higher than pretest at the .01 level of significance, and 2) the students' problem-solving ability scores by active learning approach, posttest was higher than pretest at the .01 level of significance.
