Motivations for Sharing Experiences through Social Media of Flashpacker in Hostel in Thailand

Abstract

The purpose of this study were to study 1) the social Media behavior of Flashpackers staying at hostels in Thailand; 2) the motivation factor for sharing experiences on social media of Flashpackers staying at hostels in Thailand. There were 400 samples of international tourists, selected by muti-stage stratified random sampling. A questionnaire was utilized as a research tool. The data were analyzed using frequency. The results showed that most tourists were interested in individual action and personal cognition of what group members thought about sharing their knowledge and information through social media.
