Abstract

The purpose of this experimental research is to study a learning process to enhance knowledge of provident fund for employees by using training process and knowledge management process. The sample group through Selective Sampling method is 24 employees who are working at operational level of a Petrochemical company in Thailand (Headquarter). They come from different departments, which are under an office of Managing Director, Accounting and Finance, Corporate Administration and Procurement, Sales and Marketing, and Corporate Coordination. They are divided into 3 groups with 8 people in each group. The first group is the control group. The second and third groups are experimental groups. The researcher uses a pretest and a posttest to evaluate the learning effectiveness. The data were the analyzed by Descriptive Statistics and Inferential Statistics (T-Test Dependent and T-Test Independent).

The result of the research shows that the knowledge management process is more effective than the training process. Both processes could increase the knowledge level of the sample groups. According to the test results, the posttest scores of both group 2 and group 3 were higher than the pretest scores. However, the sample group, which was instructed by the knowledge management process (group 3), had higher average posttest scores than the sample group, which was instructed by the training process (group 2). For the control group, which did not go through any processes, the knowledge level remained the same.
