บทคัดย่อ
การศึกษาเรื่อง “ทัศนะของสื่อมวลชนท้องถิ่นภาคตะวันออกที่มีต่อความไม่ปลอดภัยของนักท่องเที่ยวชาวต่างประเทศในพัทยา” เป็นการศึกษาเชิงคุณภาพ ใช้การสัมภาษณ์เชิงลึกผู้ให้ข้อมูลหลักซึ่งเป็นสื่อมวลชนท้องถิ่นภาคตะวันออก โดยใช้การสุ่มตัวอย่างแบบเฉพาะเจาะจง (Purposive Sampling) บุคคลที่มีประสบการณ์ในวิชาชีพสื่อมวลชนท้องถิ่นมาไม่ต่ำกว่า 10 ปี ในประเด็นสาเหตุที่ทำให้นักท่องเที่ยวชาวต่างประเทศในพัทยาไม่ปลอดภัย ผลการศึกษาพบ 6 ประเด็น ได้แก่ 1. ความไม่ปลอดภัยอันเนื่องมาจากโครงสร้างพื้นฐานของเมืองพัทยาที่ไม่ได้มาตรฐาน 2.ความไม่ปลอดภัยอันเนื่องมาจากความประมาท 3.ความไม่ปลอดภัยอันเนื่องมาจากการแบ่งเขตที่ไม่ชัดเจน 4.ความไม่ปลอดภัยอันเนื่องมาจากการบังคับใช้กฎหมายขาดประสิทธิภาพ 5.ความไม่ปลอดภัยอันเนื่องมาจากหน่วยงานรัฐสับสนในบทบาทของตนเอง 6.ความไม่ปลอดภัยอันเนื่องมาจากสุขอนามัยที่ไม่ได้มาตรฐาน
