Eastern Mass Media’s Attitudes towards Tourists’ Unsafe States in Pattaya

Abstract
The study on “Eastern mass media’s attitudes towards tourists’ unsafe states in Pattaya” is qualitative research using in-depth interviews with vital mass media in the east of Thailand. Purposive sampling method was applied in selecting the mass media that had been in this field for over 10 years. The study revealed that there were six issues concerning tourists’ unsafe states in Pattaya namely, 1) the unstandardized infrastructure, 2) tourists’ improvidence, 3) unclear administrative division, 4) ineffective law enforcement, 5) confusing roles of the governmental institutes, and 6) unstandardized sanitation.
