Sap Champa inscription 2 was not extremely dilapidated as expected: new suggestion on the prosody, transliteration, translation and word as “Śauddhodani”

Sap Champa inscription 2 was written in Sanskrit with Post-Pallava script between 7th – 8th centuries, found in Sap Champa ancient city, Sap Champa locality, Tha Luang district, Lop Buri province. The study discovered that this inscription was not extremely dilapidated as told in the record, but slightly damaged hence the new interpretation can be made and found that it was written in one verse namely Śardūvikrīḍita. In addition, there was a significant word as “śauddhodani” (the son of Śuddhodana), which was the Buddha’s name appeared in the texts of many of Buddhist schools such as Sarvāsativāda, Mahāyāna Vajrayāna etc.
