Research Ethics

Sahasart: Journal of Social Sciences and Humanities is committed to promoting and supporting the publication of high-quality scholarly work that adheres to academic standards and upholds the principles of research ethics. In order to ensure that the processes of manuscript review and publication are conducted with transparency, integrity, and recognized academic standards, the Journal hereby establishes this Research Ethics Policy as a guideline for authors, reviewers, and the editorial board, as follows:

1.  Academic Integrity

Authors are required to strictly adhere to principles of academic integrity. This includes refraining from presenting the work, ideas, or data of others as their own; avoiding plagiarism; fabrication of data or facts; falsification or distortion of research data or findings; improper copying of their own or others’ previous work without appropriate citation; and duplicate publication or self-plagiarism in a manner that may mislead readers into believing the work is original.

2.  Duplicate Publication

Authors must not submit or publish the same manuscript in more than one academic journal, nor publish the same work repeatedly in conference proceedings at either the national or international level.
However, if a manuscript has been rejected and official notification has been received from the editor, the authors may submit the manuscript for consideration in another journal.

3.  Citation and Referencing

Authors must accurately and appropriately acknowledge all individuals, data sources, concepts, and scholarly works cited or utilized in the manuscript, both within the text and in the reference list, in accordance with the Journal’s prescribed format.
The Journal requires the use of the American Psychological Association (APA) Style, 7th Edition (APA 7). References should generally be current, preferably published within the past ten years, except in cases involving classical theories or foundational concepts that remain widely accepted in the academic community. Detailed guidelines are provided in the section “Instructions for Authors.”

4.  Respect for Rights and Human Dignity

Authors must not pursue academic benefits in ways that violate personal rights, human rights, or the dignity of individuals.
In addition, authors are required to appropriately acknowledge individuals, organizations, or funding agencies that contributed to or supported the research in the Acknowledgements section.

5.  Academic Accuracy and Fairness

Scholarly work must be conducted in accordance with academic principles, free from bias, and must present research findings honestly and objectively. Authors must not intentionally misrepresent results, overstate findings beyond the evidence obtained, or conduct research primarily for personal gain or in a manner that may cause harm to others.

6.  Use of Research Outputs

Authors are responsible for using their research findings ethically, lawfully, and appropriately. Research outcomes should be applied to advance knowledge, professional practice, or organizational development in a responsible manner.

7.  Authorship

The Journal does not permit any addition, removal, or modification of authorship after a manuscript has been formally submitted to the system. Furthermore, individuals who have not made a significant contribution to the research or manuscript preparation must not be listed as authors.
All listed authors must have made substantial contributions to the research and/or manuscript preparation and must collectively assume responsibility for the content, accuracy, and integrity of the entire manuscript.

8.  Human and Animal Research Ethics

For manuscripts reporting research involving human participants or animals, authors must obtain ethical approval or an exemption from approval from an appropriate research ethics committee prior to conducting the study.
Authors are required to submit official documentation of ethical approval as part of the manuscript review process and to clearly state the relevant ethical approval details within the manuscript.

Note
In cases where any form of research or publication misconduct is identified, the Journal reserves the right to reject, suspend, or retract the manuscript at the discretion of the editorial board.
