The Developmental Guidelines for the Internal School Quality Assurance Operation under Khon Kaen Primary Educational Service Area Office 5

Abstract

The objectives of this research were to 1) study needs, 2) create guidelines for developing internal quality assurance operation of schools under Khon Kaen Primary Educational Service Area Office 5. This research was a descriptive research. The sample group consisted of 29 administrators and 307 teachers, with the total number of 336 people. The sample size was determined by calculating Taro Yamane's formula using stratified random sampling method. The research instrument was a 5-level rating scale questionnaire with an IOC between 0.67-1.00 and reliability for the entire document of 0.97. The statistics used in data analysis comprised percentages, means, standard deviations and priority needs index. The statistics used in qualitative research included semi-structured interview and content analysis.

          The research results were found that:

1. Needs for developing internal quality assurance operation of schools under Khon Kaen Primary Educational Service Area Office 5, in overall, were ranked in order as follows: Standard 3: Student-centered teaching and learning management process, Standard 2: Administrative and management process, Standard 1: Students’ quality.
