The Relationship Between Traffic Law Enforcement and Traffic Police Image of Thiantale Metropolitan Police Station

Abstract

 The objectives of this research were to 1) study the traffic law enforcement level of Thian tale Metropolitan Police Station 2) study the traffic police image level of Thiantale Metropolitan Police Station and 3) to study the relationship between traffic law enforcement and the traffic police image of Thientale Metropolitan Police Station. This study was the quantitative research. The sample group was the people who were arrested and prosecuted in the area of the responsibility of the Thiantale Metropolitan Police Station, a total of 396 people. Data were collected by questionnaires by using simple random sample method with a table of random numbers. For the data analysis, descriptive and inferential statistics were used in this study, consist of Pearson's correlation coefficient analysis and linear multiple regression analysis.
The research findings were as follows: 1) the overall average of traffic law enforcement was at a high level, 2) the overall average of traffic police image was at a high level, and 3) the relationship between traffic law enforcement and the traffic police image of Thiantale Metropolitan Police Station found that the traffic law enforcement had statistically significant positive correlated at a moderate level (.517) with the traffic police image of Thiantale Metropolitan Police Station at the .01 level, and the traffic law enforcement in all four aspects had statistically significant predicted the traffic police image of Thiantale Metropolitan Police Station at the .01 level. The recommendation of this study is Thiantale Metropolitan Police Station should formulate the policy to detect traffic violations of commuters before proceeding with fines or prosecution.
