Development of Teaching Media by Using AppSheet for Sixth Year Primary School Sudents, Geography Learning, Watsrinualtamwimon School, Nongkhame District, Bangkok

Abstract

The objectives of this research were: 1) to develop the teaching media by using AppSheet in the learning area of social studies, religion and culture, subject 5: geography in three topics, to be effective according to the 80/80 standard criteria; 2) to compare the learning achievement before and after the study; 3) to assess the students’ satisfaction with the learning management using AppSheet, in the learning area of social studies, religion and culture, subject 5: geography. The sample group in this research was 30 sixth-year primary school students in the second semester of the academic year 2021, Wat Sri Nuan Thamwimon School, Nong Khaem Educational Service Area. Research tools were the teaching media using AppSheet, four achievement test sets, and a student satisfaction form. The data were analyzed by the following statistics: Mean, Standard Deviation, and t-test (Dependent Samples).
The research results were as follows:
1) The teaching media using AppSheet in the learning area of social studies, religion and culture, subject 5: geography for sixth-year primary school students: the first topic had its efficiency value of 83.00/84.50, the second 85.50/89.00 and the third 86.50/87.50. The average was 84.80/84.83, higher than the set criterion of 80/80.
2) The learning achievement before and after using the teaching media by using AppSheet in the learning area of social studies, religion, and culture, subject 5: geography of sixth - year primary school students in 6/3 Classroom was different with the statistical significance level of 0.01 in all three topics.
3) The students’ satisfaction in learning management using AppSheet, in the learning area of social studies, religion, and culture, subject 5: geography was at the
highest level
