A Study of Psychological Well-Being Among The Leaders of HIV in Bangkok

Abstract

                The purpose of  this research were (1) to study level of psychological well-being in overall and as classified by sex, age, status, revenue sufficiency, HIV infection, living with HIV’s period and being in HIV group’s period of HIV the leaders in Bangkok  (2) to study the living attitude which encourage psychological well-being of the HIV leaders in Bangkok. Subjects were 48 volunteers HIV leaders in Bangkok with consent. Instruments used to collect data were questionnaires and in-depth interview. Data were analysed for percentage, mean, standard deviation and content analysis.

               The result found that : 1.  Psychological well-being in overall and as classified by sex, age, status, revenue sufficiency, HIV infection, living with HIV’s period and being in HIV group’s period of the HIV leaders in Bangkok were at the fairly well level.  2. The content analysis of quantitative research shown that factors of effect to psychological well-being of the HIV leaders in Bangkok were (1) life satisfaction (2) self-acceptance (3) goal of life (4) self-control (5) relationship with other.
