THE DEVELOPMENT OFTHAI TEXTBOOKS FOR THAI LANGUAGE TALENTED STUDENTS OF MATHAYOMSUKSA 5

Abstract
This research aims to 1) develop Thai textbooks for Thai language talented students of Mathayom 5 2) study Thai language talents of Mathayom 5 students using the textbooks 3) study opinions of Thai language talented students Mathayom 5 toward the use of the textbooks. The target groups of this study include 1 Thai language teacher and 11 students in Mathayom 5 in the second semester of the 2562 academic year, Pathumthep Wittayakarn School, Nong Khai province. The research design used is Mixed Method. The research instruments consisted of 1) The book “Reading for Life Development” of Thai language department 2) Thai textbook development form 3) Thai textbook quality assessment form 4) interview form for opinions of students studying with the book “Reading for Life Development” 5) Questionnaire for opinions of students studying with the book “Reading for Life Development”
The research found that 1) the development of Thai textbooks for Thai language talented students of Mathayom 5 has quality in accordance with the 80/80 assessment criteria from the experts 2) from the study of Thai language talents of Mathayom 5 students using the textbooks, the students get an average value of 93.18 in chapter 1, The Principle of Reading and get an average value of 93.00 in chapter 2, The Connection of Ideas 3) from the study of the opinions of Thai language talented students of Mathayom 5 toward the use of the textbooks, the students mostly agree with using the textbooks with the average () of 4.12 and standard aviation (S.D.) of 0.78. The interview on each side 1) content 2) learning activities 3) learning atmosphere and 4) benefits found that the textbooks are systematically managed and all the contents are linked and have a clear sequence. This can also help students to study and stimulate their knowledge acquisition which results in thinking, practicing problem-solving from the reading process, and gaining new knowledge that can be applied.
