Perception of Thai Culture and Society of Chinese Exchanged Students in Chiang Mai University

Abstract
The purposes of this research was to: 1) study of the social perception of Thailand Chinese exchange students in Chiang Mai University. 2)study the cultural perception of Thailand Chinese exchange students in Chiang Mai University. 3)study the behavior conforms to the society and culture of Thailand, the Chinese exchange student in university. The samples were Chinese students of all ages who studied more than 3 months in the Institute of Languages University by using a random sampling method of 100 people. The research instruments were Thai society and culture awareness questionnaire of Chinese exchange students in Chiang Mai University. The statistics used in data analysis were percentage, mean and standard deviation. The results were as follows:
1) The results of Thai social awareness of Chinese exchange students in Chiang Mai University were perceived in Thai society in general, urban society and rural society at the highest level.
2) Thai cultural awareness of Chinese exchange students In Chiang Mai University, it was found that Chinese exchange students had the highest level of perception of Thai culture in the North and Central region. The Northeastern and Southern regions were at the high level.
3) The result of behavior modification to be in line with Thai society and Thai culture of Chinese exchange students in Chiang Mai University found that students had the most social and cultural preference: WaiKhru ceremony (Teacher Venerated Day) and Greetings ways, representing 22.55 percent, followed by Song Kran festival ,representing 17.29 percent, LoiKrathong Festival 14.29 percent, Thai food 13.54 percent and WaiKru (Teacher Venerated Day),representing 9.78 percent, respectively
