A Developing of Learning Activity by Using Polya’s Problem Solving Approach Cooperative with Team Assisted Individualization Technique for Promoting Learning Achievement, Problem Solving Ability and Attitude towards Mathematics of Prathomsuksa 5 Students
Main Article Content
Abstract
The proposes of this study were to: (1) improve learning activity by Polya’s problem
solving approach cooperative with team assisted individualization technique (TAI) to reach
the set standard efficiency of 75/75; (2) compare Mathematic learning achievement on topic
of additional, subtractive, multiplying and divisional fraction of Prathomsuksa 5 students for
achieving at least 75 percentages; (3) compare Prathomsuksa 5 students’ problem solving
ability for achieving at least 75 percent; (4) study attitude toward Mathematics Learning
according to Polya’s problem solving approach cooperative with team assisted individualization
technique (TAI).
There were Prathomsuksa 5 students at local school in NakhonRatchasrima province,
Thailand participated in this study. The random sampling technique was Cluster Random
Sampling. There were Prathomsuksa 5 Students’ learning activity by Polya’s problem solving
approach cooperative with team assisted individualization technique, learning achievement
test as a multiple choices, problems solving ability test and attitude toward mathematics
learning measuring test. The data was analyzed to calculate mean, percentage, standard
deviation and t-test (dependent sampling). The findings were as follows:
1. The efficiency of the developed learning activity by Polya’s problem solving
approach cooperative with team assisted individualization technique was 79.94/77.33
2. Mathematics learning achievement in additional, subtractive, multiplying and
divisional fraction of Prathomsuksa 5 students’ learning activity by Polya’s problem solving
approach cooperative with team assisted individualization technique (TAI) was higher than
the percentage 75 at a level of .05 statistically significant.
3. Prathomsuksa 5 students’ problem solving ability using learning activity by
Polya’s problem solving approach cooperative with team assisted individualization technique
(TAI) was higher than the percentage 75 at a level of .05 statistically significant.
4. Mean score of attitude toward Mathematics learning based on Polya’s problem
solving approach cooperative with team assisted individualization technique (TAI) were high
for overall.
