Development of Self Control Ability by Applying the Empowerment Evaluation on Matthayomsueksa 3 Students

Abstract
Development of self control ability by applying the empowerment evaluation
concept on Matthayomsueksa 3 students study aimed to 1) develop the self control ability
of Matthayomsueksa 3 students who were trained by the activities promoting self control by
applying the empowerment evaluation concept, and 2) monitor the development of the
self control ability of Matthayomsueksa 3 students who were trained by the activities
promoting self control by applying the empowerment evaluation concept. The research
samples were 60 students retrieved by using the cluster random sampling technique with
classroom unit base. Research instruments were the activity promoting self control plans
and self control test. Standard statistics were used in data analysis.
Research results were as follows :
1. The results of the development of the self control ability of Matthayomsueksa 3
students who were trained by the activities promoting self control by applying the empowerment
evaluation concept can be described as;
1.1 Taking stock provided information regarding the evaluation of the self
control ability of the students from the activity number 1 as background to develop the
activity number 2 to 10. The topic to discuss was “problem behaviors” then analyze need
of the students to participate in the training for collecting data, setting goal and developing
strategies.
1.2 Setting goal was to develop the self control ability by applying the
empowerment evaluation concept.
1.3 developing strategies considered the students with increasing self control
ability from the activity using the empower rment evaluation and promoted the students to
take part in evaluating the activity they participated in. 2. Monitoring results of development in self control ability of the Matthayomsueksa 3
students who were trained by the activities applying from the empowerment evaluation
concept were described as below;
documenting process was to collect data from the sample group by investigating
the effects on the samples group self control ability after training by looking at the results of
activity and self evaluation. The researcher facilitated the document regarding the evaluation
and assisted in advising the individual sample by relying on the elements of the empowerment
evaluation on the convenience and support without directive acts. It was showed that most
of the students having awareness concerning the activity importance and being able to
control oneself. They planned and evaluated the activities properly and also took brief
note about the evaluation.
