Abstract

The 21st Century Learning management to emphasize students get knowledge, work
and life skills, information and technology skills, learning skills and innovation. Especially
reading skill is extremely important in child center learning. It causes of thinking, more
intelligence. It creates some knowledge by themselves and learning personal that bring to
long life learning. Reading is the mainly important to seek knowledge and it is important
basic of learning. Therefore, this research aims
1. To develop an English Reading Comprehension Teaching Strategies for
Mattayomsueksa 2 students, 2.To seek the English Reading Comprehension Strategies
Mattayomsueksa 2 students for effective (E1/E2) 80/80 ,3.To compare the ability of English
reading comprehension before and after learning.,4.To study reading motivation for
Mattayomsueksa 2 students. Students of the first sample used in this study were 40
students in Mattayomseuksa 2 on the semester of academic year 2014. By randomly
selected group (Cluster Random Sampling) at Nongnguleumpittayakom School,
Nakhonratchasima Province. The instruments were used in this research were 1) the Reading
Comprehension Teaching Strategies 2) lesson plan compose strategies 3) the ability of
English reading comprehension test 4) the English reading motivation. The data were
analyzed using descriptive statistics, percentage, mean, standard deviation, the t-test
(Dependent Samples).
The results showed that
1. The Development of English Reading Comprehension Teaching Strategies
for Mattayomsueksa 2 students consists element of the development of four components:
1) the concept and theory 2) Objectives 3) instruction include : Step1: Preparing, Step2 :
Motivations, Step3 : Activities, Step4 : Conclusion, Step5 : Writing 4) Measurement of results.
2. The result teaching of English Reading Comprehension Teaching Strategies
for Mattayomsueksa 2 students was efficiency of 81.98/80.17.
3. The Mattayomsueksa 2 students have the ability of English reading
comprehension was higher than before learning at the .01 level of significance.
4. The Mattayomsueksa 2 students have the English reading motivation at
the high level ( X = 4.09)
Inconclusion, The Development of English Reading Comprehension Teaching Strategies
for Mattayomsueksa 2 students was a suitable efficiency and students could develop English
reading comprehension; therefore ,English teachers should been courage to use this Strategies
teaching.
