Local Curriculum Development on Thai Handicrafts, career and technology learning strand, additional course for Matthayom 3 students

Abstract
Of this research had purpose 1) to develop local curriculum, career and
technology learning strand, additional course on "Thai handicrafts" for Matthayom3
students which are as effective as the standard 80/80. 2) to study the effectiveness
index of the local learning curriculum. 3) to compare learning achievement
between before and after classes. 4) to compare the creativity before and after
classes . 5) to compare the ability to solve problems between the grades before
and after classes. 6) to study the satisfaction of students in local learning
curriculum. The samples were 21 students in Mathayom 3 at Ban Sok Pla Duk
School in Sok Pla Duk Sub-district, Nong Bua Rawe District, Chaiyaphum Province
in second semester of the academic year 2011, which were chosen through the
purposive sampling technique. The research tools included the local curriculum,
the achievement tests have: the congruence value (IOC) from 0.88-1.00, the
discrimination power value from 0.23 -0.60 and the reliability whole issue is equal
to 0.89. The tests of creativity, the discrimination power value in each item, the
first is 0.58, the second is 0.49, the third is 0.52 and the fourth is 0.49 which has
the average value equal to 0.53, the reliability whole issue is equal to 0.84. The
tests of the ability to solve problems have the difficulty (P) from 0.21 to 58, the
discrimination power value (r) from 0.27 to 87 and the reliability whole issue (KR –
20) is equal to 0.77. And the measurements of the satisfaction to the local
learning curriculum have the congruence value from 065-1.00, the discrimination
power value from 0.54 -0.60 and the reliability is equal to 0.91. Analyzed data by
using percentage, mean and standard deviation and tested hypotheses with t-test
(Dependent Samples).
The results were as follows:
1. The local learning curriculum on Thai handicrafts, career and
technology learning strand, additional course for Matthayom 3 students has the
effectiveness equal to 89.29/88.25 which are as effective as the standard 80/80 is
set.
2. The local learning curriculum on Thai handicrafts, career and
technology learning strand, additional course for Matthayom 3 students has the
effectiveness index equal to 0.7861, it is shown that the students advances in
learning more 78.61 percent.
3. Learning Achievement of Mathayom 3 students from learning with
the local learning curriculum on Thai handicrafts after classes is higher than before
classes significantly, in the statistical level at 0 .01.
4. The creativity of Mathayom 3 students from learning with the local
learning curriculum on Thai handicrafts after classes is higher than before classes
significantly, in the statistical level at 0 .01.
5. The ability to solve problems of Mathayom 3 students from learning
with the local learning curriculum on Thai handicrafts after classes is higher than
before classes significantly, in the statistical level at 0 .01.
6. Mathayom 3 students have the satisfaction in local learning curriculum
on Thai handicrafts. Overall satisfactions with learning are in the most level at the
average of 4.71.
