A Comparison of Multiple-Intelligences Abilities of Matthayomsaksa 3 between Expansion of Educational Opportunities School and Secondary School of Education Service Area Office 24th in Kalasin Province

Abstract

This research is intended to 1) construct and find out the quality of the instruments and
multiple intelligences, 2) construction of norms and 3) to compare the ability of the multiple
intelligences. The samples used in this research were the Matthayomsaksa 3 students who study in
second semester of academic year 2554 of the expansions of Educational Opportunities School
with 112 participants. and the Secondary Schools of Education Service Area Office 24th in Kalasin
Province with 260 participants ; the total is 372 participants. They were obtained by Multi-Stage
Random Sampling. The research tools were test with 5 issues and the measurement test with 3
issues. The statistics used to analyzing the data were average, standard deviation and hypothesis
testing used the Independent samples t-test.
The results were as follows :
1. The tests and all of the multiple intelligence tests. The index of the consistency of
the tests generated values from 0.66 -1.00 for every test.
2. The qualities of the test multiple intelligence tests and measuring found that the
intelligence test of linguistic had the difficulty ranging from .22 to .71, the discrimination ranging
from .30 to .97 and the reliability was .808. The intelligence test of logical - mathematical had the
difficulty ranging from .35 to .75, the discrimination from .47 to .81 and the reliability was .802. The
intelligence test of spatial had the difficulty ranging from .35 to .76, the discrimination from .47 to
.80 and the reliability was .819.The intelligence test of naturalist had the difficulty ranging from .33
to .62, the discrimination from .24 to .96 and the reliability was .786. The intelligence test of
musical had the difficulty ranging from .52 to .70, the discrimination from .53 to .92 and the
reliability was .820. The bodily - kinesthetic intelligence measuring had the discrimination from .68
to .85 and the reliability was .870. The intrapersonal intelligence measuring had the discrimination
from .42 to .63 and the reliability was .865. and The interpersonal intelligence measuring had the
discrimination from .29 to .79 and the reliability was .914.
3. Norms of linguistic, logical - mathematical, spatial, naturalist, and music test for
Expansion of Educational Opportunities School had the percentiles ranged 1.34 to 99.55 and
normalized T-sores ranged 28 to 76 and the most students were in the fair. The Secondary School
of Education found that the percentiles ranged 0.38 to 99.81 and normalized T-sores ranged 23 to
79.The most students were in the fair.
4. The cognitive ability in the linguistic, the logical - mathematical, the spatial, the
naturalist, the bodily - kinesthetic, the intrapersonal and the interpersonal were significantly
different at the .05 level but the music was not difference.
