Main Article Content
Abstract
Education for kindergarten children is very important. The purpose of this study were :
1) to construct and develop quality of Readiness Test for kindergartenII students, Si Sa Ket Primary
Educational Service Area Office 4. 2) to develop norms of Readiness Test for kindergartenII
students, Si Sa Ket Primary Educational Service Area Office 4. 3) to assess the Readiness
of kindergartenII students, Si Sa Ket Primary Educational Service Area Office 4.
The samples consisted of 350 kindergartenII students, Si Sa Ket Primary Educational
Service Area Office 4 who studied in the First semester of the academic year 2012. They were
obtained by the Multi-stage Random Sampling technique. Two types of instrument were
used in this study. They consisted of 18 items test on social aspect and the 35 items
test on intellectual aspect. The instruments were tried out 3 times. Try-out 1 and 2 were
to find out item difficulties and discriminating power, While try out 3 was to find out
reliabilities and construct validities, Then the scores were used to construct norms in the form
of normalized T-scores.
The research findings were as follows :
In the first tried out, the Readiness Test had item difficulties (p) ranging from
0.23 to 0.80 and had item discrimination (r) ranging from 0.25 to 0.80.In the second tried
out, the Readiness Test had item difficulties (p) ranging from 0.20 to 0.69 and had item
discrimination (r) ranging from 0.20 to 0.90.
In the Third tried out, the Readiness Test had item difficulties (p) ranging from
0.20 to 0.80 and had item discrimination (r) ranging from 0.20 to 0.90, reliabilities of 0.85.
Norm scores of the scale were : with T - norms ranging T23 -T77. The equations
are linear is TC = 2.34X - 55.35 percentage is 41.85 and deviation is 0.54
Therefore, teachers should promote the early childhood activities. So that students
are prepared in the society. Intelligence of kindergartenII. The approach used in the development
of teaching and learning in the early childhood level. As a result, teaching and learning in
elementary education more effective.
