A Knowledge Management Model for District Non–Formal and Informal Education Centres

Abstract
The purposes of this research were : 1) to determine the components of
the knowledge management moel for district non–formal and informal education
centres ; and 2) to develop the knowledge management model for district non –
formal and informal education centres. The research procedures consisted of 3
steps : (1) synthesize the variables to determine the components of knowledge
management for district non–formal and informal education centres ; (2) constructing and
developing the questionnaire for leading staff of knowledge management for
district non–formal and informal education centres. The sample consisted of 600
people was chosen by multi-stage random sampling, they are taken from 5 regions
of the country ; and (3) analyze the components using the following methods :
firstly, factor analysis was exploratory factor analysis by principal component
analysis and varimax rotated solution, secondly, confirmatory factor analysis ; and
finally, interview with 8 experts to examine the model of knowledge management
for district non–formal and informal education centres. The research instruments
used were questionnaire and structured interview. The statistics used to analyze
the collected data were content analysis, percentage, mean, standard deviation
and factor analysis.
The research findings were as follows :
1) The components of knowledge management for district non– formal
and informal education centres consisted of 10 components : (1) knowledge
storage, (2) knowledge sharing and exchange, (3) knowledge identification, (4)
knowledge creation, (5) knowledge acquisition, (6) knowledge access, (7)
knowledge modification and refinement, (8) knowledge evaluation, (9) knowledge
application, and (10) learning.

Informal education centres had the goodness of fit with the empirical data at the
good level, with the Chi-square=120.40, df=81, P=.26, RMSEA=.02, GFI=.99,
AGFI= .98 and CFI=1.00
