Development of social skills of Matthayomsueksa 1 students in an activity skills. Social : the application of the concept of empowerment

Abstract
The development of social skills is important in promoting learning and social behavior.
It allows individuals to adapt to the situation and the social be happy. This study aimed to
develop the social skills of Matthayomsueksa 1 students the activities strengthen social skills. To
compare the social skills of Matthayomsueksa 1 students before and after the event to strengthen
social skills and to compare the social skills of Matthayomsueksa 1 students before and after the
event to strengthen social skills. The sample used in this study consisted of 34 Matthayomsueksa
1 students in Phu Sing Prachasoemwit School, Amphoe Phu Sing, Changwat Si Sa Ket, in the
second semester of the academic year 2011, obtained using the simple random sampling. Two
types of the instruments used in this study were plans for to strengthen social skills and a
measure of social skills, which comprised 6 aspects : emotional sensitivity, emotional experessivity,
emotiona control, social experessivity, social sensitivity ,and social control. Values ranging from
0.28 to 0.58 on the classification reliability was .74. The statistics used for analyzing the collected
data were mean and standard deviation ; and Wilcoxon Signed Ranks test and the Mann-Whitney
U test were employed for testing hypotheses. The results of the study were as follows :
1. The student who received organization of strengthen social skills activities showed
social skills after organizing activities at a good level.
2. The student who received organization of strengthen social skills activities showed
gains in social skills from before learning at the .05 level of significance.
3. The student who received organization of strengthen social skills activities
indicated higher social skills than those who received organization of conventional activities at
the .05 level of significance.
To enhance the social skills of the concept of empowerment, the Fetterman to develop
the social skills of learners. This will be the development of social skills of the students further.
