ปัญหาของผู้สอนภาษาญีปุ่นในการสื่อสารกับผู้สอนภาษาญีปุ่นชาวไทย:การวิเคราะห์สาเหตุของปัญหาจากควรมแตกต่างทางวัฒนธรรม

The objective of this paper was to study the problems of intercultural communication in Japanese between Japanese and Thai teachers in the context of team-teaching. The targets were 50 Japanese-speaking teachers who were working either at high school level or in higher education in Thailand. A survey was conducted using a questionnaire. It was found that more than 50% of these Japanese teachers thought that they faced problems of intercultural communication. The problems they described included the language proficiency of the Thai teachers and cultural differences. However, in this paper only the latter are discussed. It was obvious that among these cultural problems, the main causes of conflicts in intercultural communication between Japanese and Thai teachers were those arising from ‘power distance’ and ‘uncertainty avoidance’
