The Commitment of Undergraduate Students of Faculty of Environment and Resource Studies, Mahidol University

Abstract
This research has aimed to study the commitment of undergraduate Students of Faculty of Environment and Resource Studies, Mahidol University towards the six aspects including the commitment to the faculty itself, to lecturrs, to faculty staff, to senior students, to junior students, and the commitment to their friends. Importantly, it is also to study the differences of the commitment level classified by the frequencies of faculty activity participation. The sampl group included 155 bachelor degree students of Faculty of Environment and Resource Studies Mahidol University who were studying in the academic year 2013. Questionnaire were used for data collection and the data was analyzed using statistics such as percentage, arithmetic mean, standard deviation and T-Test. According to the research result, it was found that the students had highly commitment in all six aspects. The highest was commitment to faculty staff and followed by commitment to the faculty, commitment to their lecturers, commitment to their juniors, commitment to their senirs and commitment to their friends. It was revealed that the differences of the commitment level of the students were significantly relying on the frequencies of faculty’s activity participation and was found at the level of significance 0.05 for only 2 aspects; the commitment to the faculty and the commitment to their seniors. However, there were no difference in term of four commitments include commitment to their teachers, commitment to staff, commitment to their seniors and commitment to their friends.
