Abstract
Capitalism leads to unsustainable use of natural resources and pollutions that affect the environment and health of people. Environmental, Social, and Health Impact Assessment (EHIA) is a tool to minimize the potential impacts caused by the project development. Capitalism can be green and sustainable. This article reviews the history of environmental impact assessment in Thailand, the approval procedure, and the problem of environmental impact assessment in Thailand. The author also suggests the practical approach to strengthen the EHIA process and to make all stakeholders accept the reliability of EIA.
