Building Public Service Motivation for the Elderly and Disability Care Service under Cross – sector Collaboration in Ubon Ratchathani Srisaket Amnat Charoen and Yasothon.

Abstract

This research study aimed to investigate the building of public service motivation strategies, and to understand the cross –sector collaboration on elderly and disability care services in Ubon Ratchathani, Srisaket, Amnat Charoen, and Yasothon. Mixed methods were employed in this research.


            The research findings were: 1) the overall level of agreement of public service motivation was at high level, 2) The analysis of one - way ANOVA showed that the public service motivation of each organization was indifferent, 3) The public service motivation strategy, respondents were at high level for both compensation management and training. The mostly strategies by each sectors were compensation management and training, and 4)The level on cross –sector collaboration was also high. Collaboration forms were formal and informal. The collaboration frame was only found in public sectors. The collaboration between the public sectors and higher education institution was mostly based on knowledge exchange. On the other hand, the support of budget and staff was from the collaboration of public sectors and private agencies. These was little collaborations synthesize the lesson learned.
