Existence Ayutthaya Arts and Historical Sites in Phetchaburi Province for Tourist Guide

Abstract

                   Petchaburi province was once an important commercial port located on the western side of Ayutthaya kingdom particularly during and after the reign of King Narai. Since then, most of the fine arts and architecture are largely presented in the late Ayutthaya period. The typical arts of this area was called “Petchaburi Arts Skilled techniques” which were specified their own way of beauty, uniqueness and traditional construction especially the stucco, mural painting and vaulted building. In this article, the author aims to focus on the typical Ayutthaya arts which were found in the selected 5 old temples in Petchaburi province; Wat Yai Suwannaram, Wat Pai Lom, Wat Koh Kaew Suttharam, Wat Mahathat and Wat Sra Bua and one more reason is to extend the tourist guide ability and skills in term of Ayutthaya arts knowledge in order to explain the history of Ayutthaya arts accurate and able to organizing and leading the tour with the most effectively.
