Effects of an Instruction Using the Four Noble Truth Method on Critical Thinking Ability on Topic Contagious Disease Prevention Of Grade Ninth Students

Abstract

This research is a quasi-experimental research. Have a purpose 1) To compare students’ critical thinking abilities before studying and after studying with the Four Noble Truths learning management method. 2) To compare the critical thinking ability of students using the Four Noble Truths learning management method. With normal learning arrangements The sample group is Ninth grade students, semester 1, academic year 2024, Thanyarat School Pathum Thani Province Divided into an experimental group of 40 people who studied with the Four Noble Truths learning management method and a control group of 40 people who studied with the normal learning management method. For the tools used in the research, namely, the Four Noble Truths learning management plan. 4 plans, tests to measure critical thinking ability The researcher was the one who taught the experimental group to learn the Four Noble Truths and the control group to learn in the normal way by themselves. The critical thinking ability of students in both groups was measured before and after the experiment. Then the obtained data was analyzed to find the average. Standard deviation and test the differences with t-values (t-test).

The results found that

1) The experimental group that received the Four Noble Truths learning management after the experiment was significantly higher than before the experiment at the .05 level.

2) The students who received the Four Noble Truths learning management had higher scores in their ability to Critical thinking was significantly higher than that of students in the group receiving traditional instruction at the .05 level.
