ADMINISTRATORS AFFECTING SCHOOL EFFECTIVENESS UNDER THE OFFICE OF SECONDARY EDUCATION SERVICE AREA SAMUT PRAKAN

The objectives of this research were 1) to study situational leadership of educational institution; 2) to study the effectiveness of the educational institutions; 3) to study the relationship between situational leadership of educational ins titution administrators and educational institution effectiveness; and 4) to study situational leadership that affects the effectiveness of educational institutions. The research sample for this study was a total of 338 school administrators and teachers in the office of secondary education service area Samut Prakan. The research instrument was a questionnaire. The confidence value was .937. The statistics used in the data analysis consisted of frequency distribution, percentage, mean, standard deviation, Pearson’s product moment correlation coefficient and stepwise multiple regression analysis. The finding of the research were as follows: 1) the overall situational leadership of educational institution administrators was at a high level 2) the overall effectiveness of educational institutions was at a high level 3) situational leadership affecting the effectiveness of educational institutions, was a very high positive relationship of .822 with statistical significance at the .01 level and 4) situational leadership affecting the effectiveness of educational institutions , included participation, directive, and delegating, predicting the variance of the effectiveness of educational institutions under the office of secondary educational service area Samut Prakan by 67.90% with a statistical significance at the .01 level.
