THE COMPETENCIES OF THE NEW WAY SCHOOL ADMINISTRATORS AS PERCEIVED BY TEACHER IN SOUTH KRUNGTHON ZONE SCHOOL OF BANGKOKMETROPOLITAN ADMINISTRATION

The purposes of this research were 1) to investigate the competencies levels of the new way school administrators and 2) to compare competencies of the new way school administrators as perceived by teacher in South Krungthon zone school of Bangkok Metropolitan Administration, classified by educational level, work experiences and school sizes. The sample group consisted of 333 teachers, following by Cohen and Uphoff’s table in the sample size specification, and selected by Stratified random sampling. The instrument used to collect data was the five rating scaled questionnaire with 40 questions about the competencies of the new way school administrators. The result of content validity of (IOC: Index of item objective congruence) was 0.88 and the reliability coefficient was 0.930. Statistic used to analyze data were mean, standard deviation, t-test, one-way analysis of variance and Scheffe's method. The results were as follows (1) The competencies of the new way school administrators as perceived by teacher in south Krungthon zone school of Bangkok Metropolitan Administration showed the highest level. (2) The comparison the competencies of the new way school administrators as perceived by teacher in south Krungthon zone school of Bangkok Metropolitan Administration were found that 2.1) The teacher which have different education level showed no statistically significant difference. 2.2) The teacher which have different work experiences showed statistically significantly different at 0.05 in the whole and each aspect. 2.3) The teacher which operating in different of school sizes showed no statistically significant difference.
