Relationship Between the Academic Leadership of the School Administrators and the Job Performance Motivation of the Teachers in the Koh Kaew Group Schools under Rayoug Primary Educational Service Area Office 1

Abstract

The objectives of this research were 1) to study the levels of the academic leadership of the school administrators in the Koh Kaew Group Schools, 2) to study the levels of the job performance motivation of the teachers in the Koh Kaew Group Schools, and 3) to study the relationship between the academic leadership of the school administrators and the job performance motivation of the teachers in the Koh Kaew Group Schools under Rayong Primary Educational Service Area Office 1. The samples were 134 participants from 16 schools randomized by proportion and simple sampling. The sample size was determined by Krejcie and Morgan's Table. The research instrument was a rating scale questionnaire. The statistics used were frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, and the analysis to find relationship between predictive variables by using Pearson’s Correlation Coefficient.
The research findings were as follows.
1. The level of the opinions about the academic leadership of the school administrators in the Koh Kaew Group Schools under Rayong Primary Educational Service Area Office 1 in the overall was at a high level. When the aspects were considered, the aspect with the highest mean was the determination of the school missions, followed by teaching and learning management, and the aspect with the lowest mean was the educational supervision.
2. The level of the opinions about the job performance of the teachers in the Koh Kaew Group Schools under Rayong Primary Educational Service Area Office 1 in the overall was at a high level. When the aspects were considered, the aspect with the highest mean was the relationship with co-workers, followed by benefits and compensation, and the aspect with the lowest mean was the characteristics of the job performance.
3. The analysis of the relationship between the academic leadership of the school administrators and the job performance motivation of the teachers in the Koh Kaew Group Schools under Rayong Primary Educational Service Area Office 1 showed that the relationship was positive at a high level with the statistical significance at the level of .01.
