Guidelines for Developing the Youth Football Players in Si Sa Ket Province to Become Professional Football Players

Abstract

The objective of this research was to study guidelines for developing the youth football players in Si Sa Ket Province to become the professional football players. The research was conducted by using the qualitative research methods. The target group used in this research consisted of 20 staff involving with the youth football players in Si Sa Ket Province selected by purposive sampling. The research instrument was a semi-structural interview form, and the data were analyzed by content analysis.
The research findings were as follows.
In the athletes, the youth football players in Si Sa Ket Province had the technique ability, understanding tactics, physical fitness, and mental readiness at a high level, but they should gain more knowledge of sports science. In the coaches, the systemic development plans for the coaches should be included, the new coaches should be promoted, and the old coaches should be developed to be in higher levels. In the facilities, the youth football players should have more opportunities to access the standard football fields, the training football fields in other areas besides the areas in Muang Ubon Ratchathani Distric should be developed to have the quality the same as the standard football fields, and the football training equipment should be allocated to the school teams or the academy teams in the province annually. In the competition programs, the youth football leagues in Si Sa Ket Province should be held by determining the duration of the competition programs to be related to the calendars of the other youth football competition programs in the local and national levels. In the development to become the professional level, the professional football clubs should be founded to nourish the youth football players who were the professional football players. The football clubs needed to issue the policies to provide the opportunities to the youth football players in Si Sa Ket Province clearly to develop the youth football players to the professional football players.
