Development of the Learning Activity Packages Using a CIPPA Model Coupled with Infographics on the Topic of Products and Services in Daily Life in the Subject of Social Studies to Enhance Analytical Thinking Skills for the Third Grade Students

Abstract

The objectives of this research were 1) to develop learning activity packages using a CIPPA model coupled with infographics on the topic of products and services in daily life in the subject of social studies to enhance analytical thinking skills for the third grade students to have the efficiency based on the criterion of 80/80, 2) to compare the analytical thinking skills of the third grade students before and after learning by using the learning activity packages, 3) to compare the learning achievement of the third grade students before and after learning by using the learning activity packages, and 4) to study the satisfaction of the third grade students towards the learning activity packages. The samples were 12 students studying in the third grade in the second semester in the academic year of 2023 from Ban Nongkaew School under Amnat Charoen Primary Educational Service Area Office. They were randomized by cluster sampling. The research instruments were 3 learning activity packages, an analytical thinking skill test, a learning achievement test, and a questionnaire asking for the students’ satisfaction.   The research findings were as follows. 1. The efficiency of the learning activity packages using the CIPPA model coupled with infographics on the topic of products and services in daily life in the subject of social studies to enhance analytical thinking skills for the third grade students was 92.22/81.67.   2. The third grade students had the analytical thinking skills after learning by using the CIPPA model coupled with infographics on the topic of products and services in daily life in the subject of social studies to enhance the analytical thinking skills higher than that before learning with the statistical significance at the level of .05.   3. The third grade students had the learning achievement after learning by using the CIPPA model coupled with infographics on the topic of products and services in daily life in the subject of social studies to enhance the analytical thinking skills higher than that before learning with the statistical significance at the level of .05.   4. The satisfaction of the third grade students towards the learning activity packages using the CIPPA model coupled with infographics on the topic of products and services in daily life in the subject of social studies to enhance the analytical thinking skills was at the highest level with the total mean of all aspects of 4.55 and the standard deviation of .10.
