UPGRADING THE MAINTENANCE OF THE 5 PRECEPTS QUALITY ASSURANCE OF THE BUDDHIST COMMUNITY IN WAT WAN BUN COMMUNITY KHLONG LUANG DISTRICT PATHUM THANI PROVINCE

Abstract

The observance of the Five Precepts is a fundamental principle of Buddhist practice, influencing not only individual behavior but also contributing to the overall development of community quality. This study focuses on elevating the observance of the Five Precepts to a mechanism for quality assurance in a Buddhist-oriented community at Wat Wanbun, Khlong Luang District, Pathum Thani Province. It employs Buddhist principles and sustainable community development frameworks as the guiding concepts.

The research analyzes the process of establishing community quality standards through moral promotion, public participation, and the integration of the Five Precepts into communal activities such as training programs, mobile Precept initiatives, and knowledge-sharing forums. The findings indicate that systematically applying the Five Precepts within the community strengthens ethical awareness, fosters unity, and cultivates a social environment conducive to peace and improved quality of life.

The study suggests that continuous quality assurance efforts for a Buddhist-oriented community should be supported by relevant policy frameworks and broad public engagement, ensuring that the Five Precepts serve as a foundation for sustainable community development and enhancement.
