The main purpose of the counselling procedure in Buddhist psychology is to help those who sincerely request a consulting for their own decisions, clear understanding and self-acceptance in various aspects and situations as well as knowing their needs. This counselling is consistent with the Buddhist method and aim taught by Buddha in order to change various aspects of behavior of those who ask for consultations, such as mental health, emotion, behavior, etc. They can change some unwholesome deeds to be wholesome which cause creative and positive living. It also includes the change in the higher levels, that is to say, the change of morality and living qualities starting from worldly level to be a noble person. The results of the counselling in Buddhist psychology has been seen in every time that Buddha gave teaching to audiences. Buddha had clear and certain goal that can guide his audiences to achieve the effective results in learning, personal development or change in the way he wanted. Most of those who have been consulted or listened to Buddha’s teaching often gained at less one noble state among four states of realization or enlightenment, such as the stream-enterer (Sotapanna) etc. which is a perfect goal everyone wishes because it is a complete end of all problems
