ปัญหาและอุปสรรคในเส้นทางการเป็นศิลปินหนังตะลุงหญิงจังหวัดนครศรีธรรมราช

บทคัดย่อ

           การวิจัยครั้งนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาปัญหาและอุปสรรคในการเข้าสู่เส้นทางการเป็นศิลปินหนังตะลุงหญิงและศึกษาแนวทางการแก้ไขปัญหาและอุปสรรคในเส้นทางการเป็นศิลปินหนังตะลุงหญิง โดยมีวิธีการเก็บข้อมูลที่เป็นข้อมูลเอกสารและข้อมูลภาคสนาม ได้แก่ การสำรวจ การสัมภาษณ์ และการสังเกต ประเด็นศึกษาปัญหาและอุปสรรคในการเข้าสู่เส้นทางการเป็นศิลปินหนังตะลุงหญิง ได้แบ่งเป็น2 ช่วง ช่วงแรก คือ ช่วงก่อนการเข้าสู่อาชีพศิลปินหนังตะลุงหญิง ได้แก่ การฝากตัวเป็นศิษย์ การเป็นศิลปินฝึกหัด และการแสดงสามวัดสามบ้าน ช่วงที่สอง คือ ช่วงการประกอบอาชีพหนังตะลุงหญิง ได้แก่ การออกโรงเล่นหนัง การบริหารจัดการคณะหนัง การทำหน้าที่แม่และเมียกับการเป็นหนังหญิง การหึงหวงหนังหญิง การแข่งขันประชันโรง และการมีส่วนร่วมในเครือขายศิลปิน ประเด็นการศึกษาแนวทางการแก้ไขปัญหาและอุปสรรคในการเป็นศิลปินหนังตะลุงหญิง พบว่ามีแนวการแก้ไขปัญหาและอุปสรรค ดังนี้ การสนับสนุนจากหน่วยงานและองค์กรภายนอก และการสนับสนุนจากสถาบันทางการศึกษา

            ผลการวิจัยพบว่า ปัญหาและอุปสรรคในการเข้าสู่เส้นทางการเป็นศิลปินหนังตะลุงหญิง คือความไม่เท่าเทียมกันในสถานภาพของหญิงและชายภายในครอบครัวและความไม่ทัดเทียมนี้ก็ขยายวงกว้างออกไปถึงระดับสังคม เช่น ปัญหาไม่ยอมรับจากคนรอบข้าง โดยเกิดจากค่านิยมของเพศหญิงที่ถูกกำหนดขึ้น อีกทั้งปัญหาการไม่ได้รับยอมรับจากสังคมที่สร้างภาพพจน์ให้ผู้หญิงมักอยู่ในฐานะที่ด้อยกว่าผู้ชาย ผู้หญิงมักถูกกีดกันในการเป็นผู้นำ

The research aims to study about issues and obstacles that Female Talung performers face and to suggest possible panaceas for such issues and obstacles. The research consists of two procedures: collecting documents and conducting an interview. The research focuses on two phases of their career: before entering the industry and after entering the industry. Before entering the industry, female Talung performers need to be a trainee artist and perform at many local temples and villages. After entering the industry, they need to go on a tour to perform, manage the group, and connect with other performers. Female Talung performers also need to do best in their duty at home and work. They also face jealousy and competition in their working life. The panaceas for such problems and obstacles include support from educational institute and other organizations.

        The result of the research shows that the problems and obstacles that female Talung workers face are inequality between men and women in a family and disapproval from the society as people in the society adhere to gender norm. Moreover, the disapproval from the society originates from the belief of male supremacy which subjugates women to be a leader.
