Administrator’s Role and Good Management in Scouting of School under the Secondary Educational Service Area Office 9

The purposes of this research were to find : 1) the school administrator role in school under the Secondary Educational Service Area Office 9 2) the good scouting leadership and management in school under the Secondary Educational Service Area Office 9 3) the relationship between school administrator role and good scouting leadership and management in school under the Secondary Educational Service Area Office 9. The samples consisted of 44 secondary schools under the Secondary Educational Service Area Office 9 and the respondents were 4 persons from each school composed of a school director, a scout leader and 2 teachers, 176 totally. The instrument was a questionnaire on the Administrator role
based on Farren and Kaye’s concept and the good scouting leadership and management based on the guideline of The Scout Association. The statistics used for data analysis were frequency, percentage, arithmetic mean, standard deviation and Pearson’s product moment correlation coefficient.
The results were found that:
1) the administrator role in school under the Secondary Educational Service Area Office 9, as a whole and individual, were found at a high level; ranking from the highest to the lowest as follow : promotion, facility, consultance, predicted, and appraiser..
2) the good scouting leadership and management in school as a whole and individual, were found at a high level; ranking from the highest to the lowest as follow: using resources, enabling change, working with people, achieving results, providing direction ,managing your time and personal skills.
3) the relationship between administrator role and the good scouting leadership and management in school was positive correlated at a high level, significantly at .01 level.
