The purposes of this research were to determine 1) administrator’s competency in the schools under Samutsongkhram
Primary Educational Service Area Office, 2) teacher’s performance in the schools under Samutsongkhram Primary Educational Service Area Office, and 3) the relationship between administrator’s competency and teacher’s performance in the schools under Samutsongkhram Primary Educational Service Area Office. The sample of this study were 63 schools under Samutsongkhram Primary Educational Service Area Office. The two respondents from each school were a school director or a deputy director and a teacher, with the totalof 126. The research instrument was a questionnaire concerning administrator’s competency based on the theory of Spencer and Spencer and teacher’s performance according to Professional Standards for Teachers based on the Regulations of the Teachers Council of Thailand on Professional Standards B.E. 2556 (2013). The statisticsused to analyze the data were frequency, percentage, arithmetic mean, standard deviation, and Pearson’s product moment correlation coefficient.
The findings were as follows :
1. Administrator’s competency in the schools under Samutsongkhram Primary Educational Service Area Office, collectively and individually, was found at a high level.
2. Teacher’s performance in the schools under Samutsongkhram Primary Educational Service Area Office, collectively and individually, was found at a high level.
3. The relationship between administrator’s competency and teacher’s performance in the schools under Samutsongkhram Primary Educational Service Area Office was found at .01 level of statistical significance.
