Abstract

The driving force behind Thai education in the era of Thailand 4.0 focuses on adapting to digital technology, developing essential skills for the 21st century such as creativity, critical thinking, problem-solving, and collaboration, as well as promoting lifelong learning. The use of technology in teaching and learning, alongside the integration of innovation into education, aims to create a highly capable workforce that can compete globally. The Basic Education Development Plan for 2023-2027 outlines several key directions and approaches for educational reform to ensure that Thai basic education effectively responds to the demands of the Thailand 4.0 era.

The implementation of education according to this development plan is a significant step in preparing Thai youth for an era where technology and innovation play a crucial role in driving the country’s society and economy. The focus is on creating a holistic education system that supports the development of skills and knowledge necessary for the 21st century and prepares young people to adapt to and face the challenges of a future digital technology-driven world effectively. Management in the Digital Era depends heavily on the role of school Administrators in driving progress by developing the digital learning skills of the staff within the organization and guiding the educational institution toward success in alignment with its vision and mission. The digital leadership of school administrators consists of five key characteristics: 1) Digital vision 2) Communication/Promotion 3) Digital knowledge 4) Innovation creation and 5) Image-building and network collaboration.
