A STUDY OF THE RELATIONSHIP OF THE SCHOOL ADMINISTRATION AND EFFECTIVENESS OF THE SCHOOL ADMINISTRATION UNDER THE OFFICE OF SAMUT PRAKAN PRIMARY EDUCATIONAL SERVICE AREA OFFICE 1

Abstract

The objectives of this research paper were 1) to study the school administration, 2) to study the effectiveness of school administration, 3) to analyze the correlation of the school administration and the effectiveness of school administration under Samut Prakan Primary Education Service Area Office 1. Quantitative research was conducted, and the sample group used was 159 school administrators and teachers using simple random sampling. The instrument used for data collection was 5-points rating scale questionnaire with a reliability of 0.87. The statistics used for data analysis were percentage, mean, standard deviation, and Pearson's correlation coefficient. Results of the research were summarized as follows: 1) The school administration of schools under Samut Prakan Primary Education Service Area Office 1 in overall showed at a high level, and each aspect was at a high level in every aspect, namely academic administration, budget administration, personnel administration, and general administration. 2) Effectiveness of schools under Samut Prakan Primary Education Service Area Office 1 in overall was at a high level and each aspect was at a high level in all aspects, namely teacher's job satisfaction, efficient resource allocation, the ability to adapt to the environment. 3) The correlation between school administration and effectiveness of school administration under the Education Service Area Office. Overall, there was a high correlation (r = 0.76) with a statistical significance at the .01 level, which was consistent with the third hypothesis. When considering each pair, the pair with the highest correlation (r = -0.78) was general administration (X4) and environmental adaptation (Y3). The pair with the lowest correlation was personnel administration (X1) and environmental adaptation (Y3) (r = -0.31).
