A MODEL OF SCHOOL ADMINISTRATION BASED ON SAPPURISADHAMMA 7 FOR SCHOOL ADMINISTRATORS UNDER OFFICE OF PRIMARY EDUCATION SERVICE AREA

Abstract

The objective of this research paper was to propose a model of school administration based on Sappurisadhamma VII for school administrators under Office of Primary Education Service Area. Mixed methods research with 3 research steps was conducted which consisted of: Step 1 was to study the state of school administration of the school administrators under the Office of Primary Education Service Area. Questionnaires was used for data collection from 400 teachers. Step 2 was to develop the model by interviewing 24 key informants, and the third step was to propose a model of school administration based on Sappurisadhamma VII for school administrators under Office of Primary Education Service Area.  Data was collected by focus group discussion of 9 experts. Results of the research indicated that 1) the state of school administration under the Office of the Primary Educational Service Area in overall was at high level of management. When considering each aspect was also shown at high level of management in all four areas consisted of academic administration, general administration, budget management, and human resource management. 2) A model of school administration based on Sappurisadhamma VII for school administrators under Office of Primary Education Service Area wa the management of educational institutions in 4 areas: academic administration, personnel management, budget management, and general administration by integrating with the principles of Sappurisadhamma VII consisted of  knowing the cause, knowing the purpose, knowing oneself, knowing how to be temperate, knowing the proper time, knowing the society, knowing the different individuals that was for the benefit of primary school administrators. 3) Model of school administration based on Sappurisadhamma VII for school administrators under Office of Primary Education Service Area consisted of 1) principles, 2) objectives, 3) operational procedures, and 4) Operational processes.
